Katie + Jeff = Rock

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

What a beautiful and energetic wedding! You might recognize Katie, Jeff, and little Ava from their engagement/family shots a little while ago.  Here are some images from their day that I want to share as a sneak peak! They had their first look right before the ceremony (which I LOVE!), check out Jeff’s face in that first one! More to come…

P.S…if you’re planning a spring or summer wedding and having a hard time deciding colors, my favorite weddings I’ve been to have used this pink + green combo.

This group of guys gets the award for being the most ridiculously silly!

Mary’s Bridal

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

This was great fun! I think I could have spent a whole week shooting at VMI, it is just so gorgeous. I traveled up there (on another adventure this summer) to do some bridal portraits of Mary before her wedding, which was also held there in the chapel.  This place is just so gorgeous.  If you’re ever in the Lexington, Virginia area you definitely need to stop by. Check out these hot bridal portraits. Stay tuned for Mary and Bryan’s wedding photos…a sneak peak coming soon!

Jeannie + Jasper

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Ekk! I love these! These make me even more excited for Jeannie and Jasper’s wedding in August! Jeanie and Jasper met while working overseas and now they live in Georgetown (how cool are they?!) I was so proud of myself that I drove into DC and found a FREE (and legal) parking spot for their session although I was very much distracted by all the fun stores and wanted to stop! It’s so easy to see how cute they are! They were up for anything, at one point I asked Jeannie to climb in a tree and she jumped right up! Enjoy and thank you guys so much and see you in August when  you become Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Cooke!

Katy + Jonathan

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Katy and I have been friends for a very long time and I had the sheer pleasure of photographing her and Jonathan’s wedding.  I met Jonathan at their engagement session and immediately liked him (friends from way back are hard to win over!) and could tell that him and Katy were so in loooooove.  Their cute little looks to each other on their wedding day was such a pleasure for me to capture!

Ok, and how cool is their wedding?! The venue was an organic restaurant in Lovettsville, Virginia: Potamac Farm.  They had fiesta colored dishes as the table decor and their flowers were so beautiful! I went a little overboard photographing them because I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful flowers! Katy also had the most gorgeous dress she and her mom bought at a bridal boutique in NYC. Everyone kept warning me that Jonathan did NOT like being photographed, for the most part Katy and him just had fun and I photographed them! I don’t think I tortured him…too much!

Carson + Caitlin Guy

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Carson and Caitlin got married! They had great engagement photos that I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding! How cute are they?!  I am super excited to show you the first sneak peak from their day.  Even though it was brutally hot we snagged some fun abandoned building shots, and it was totally worth it. Enjoy and THANK you for an awesome day!

I love this giggly face!

These shoes are so fun! I highly recommend all brides wear some awesome color shoes!

I had this bride recently say, “If you’re going to spend so much money on shoes get some fun ones so that you can wear them afterward and love them!”

This cake is so Carson. Yes, those shell casings.

A natural heart shaped cloud at a wedding?!! Too much to ask for!

They left amidst 200+ balloons being let go!

Thanks so much to my second shooter, Jess!

Bobbi Jo + Jason

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Bobbi Jo and Jason are married! Jason is actually serving overseas in Afghanistan and on his R&R he got married! They had a small intimate wedding with just family at the Stone Chapel in Wake Forest and then had dinner at the 2nd Empire Restaurant in Raleigh.  It was so great because I had plenty of time to get great photos of them with no rush! Congrats!!!

This was their first look!
