Who says that the last born gets left out? Not in this family! The Dodd family welcomed their fourth little one, Mary Daniel. At first she didn’t want to have anything to do with me, but when she did finally settle down for some shots they were so beautiful. She has these huge blue eyes and lightly golden hair. How peaceful does she look in that Moses basket? The Dodd children are so patient and waited on their little sister so they could get a photo with her. So great! Enjoy!
Emily is 1! The first time I met her she was around 6 months old and kept giving me very serious faces. This time Emily broke out the smiles! One of Emily’s mom’s friend made the “Happy Birthday” banner and she had it at her baby shower – what a great idea! Happy Birthday!
I’m so sad that this sweet family is moving away! Just before they left I got a chance to photograph little Mattie and Laney to celebrate their cuteness but also because Mattie is 9 months! I can’t believe it’s been almost been a year since Hollie contacted me to do some maternity photos of her and we managed to fit those in days before she gave birth! I am going to miss you guys!

This was great fun! I think I could have spent a whole week shooting at VMI, it is just so gorgeous. I traveled up there (on another adventure this summer) to do some bridal portraits of Mary before her wedding, which was also held there in the chapel. This place is just so gorgeous. Life has been really crazy over here lately! I’m finally home after three weeks of traveling! I’ve been shooting a lot and can’t wait to share what I have. To start it off…
So on my many adventures this summer I had a fun shoot in Virginia with some old friends! It was so fun to meet Jill and Heath’s kids, Will and Micah, I think I calculated that I had seen them about 8 years ago! As you recall Jill and Heath won that free giveaway I had in February and we finally managed to be in the same location to do the shoot! Enjoy!
Ekk! I love these! These make me even more excited for Jeannie and Jasper’s wedding in August! Jeanie and Jasper met while working overseas and now they live in Georgetown (how cool are they?!) I was so proud of myself that I drove into DC and found a FREE (and legal) parking spot for their session although I was very much distracted by all the fun stores and wanted to stop! It’s so easy to see how cute they are! They were up for anything, at one point I asked Jeannie to climb in a tree and she jumped right up! Enjoy and thank you guys so much and see you in August when you become Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Cooke!
