Monday, August 24th, 2009

Take a long look at the photo below.  Yes, it is hilarious!  Publish a caption for it, in the “comment section” and help Kirsten and Danny win some free 2point5d points!  With 20 original captions, Kirsten and Danny will receive 15 points towards a print package or an album of their choice.  (Just for some background knowledge if you so desire, the woman behind Kirsten, the bride, is Kirsten’s mom – you can use this information or not.)  Looking forward to what you come up with!

Wake Forest Park

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Since moving to Wake Forest I have been looking high and low for great places to take portraits. Finally, after six months I have found the perfect place to take LOTS of portraits! Not officially, but soon, Wake Forest is getting a new park, the E. Carroll Joyner Park. It is has this great stone wall, barn, and huge trees that are just waiting for my next shoot.

It would also be great to host a portrait party – which is the newest rage. It goes something like this, you throw a party (i.e. like at this park..once it opens!) and invite lots of people who would like their portraits taken (usually families, but it can be adapted to kid birthday parties, couples, etc.) The portrait prices goes down dramatically and everybody leaves with about 5-8 gorgeous shots of their family.

Here are some shots from the other day!

The Beautiful Millie Shipe

Friday, June 26th, 2009

My best friend, Millie is the BEST! She is an actress out of the Orlando area and is really fun. She is also extremely beautiful (and taken!). Our favorite pastime when we are in the same location is to take photographs. This has morphed from taking silly photos of ourselves together to me taking photos of her for her career or just plain fun. A couple of weeks ago she came to visit and I had been dying to take portraits at this abandoned water tower. I was getting nervous about this location because it was becoming obvious that they were destroying the tower and removing it from this location. That day it had to be about 90 degrees. So 90 degrees reflected off of huge metal feels about 140 degrees. So it was really hot! But it was well worth it.

Strawberries are REALLY my favorite food overall anything else.  So imagine your favorite food (pizza, quesadillas, ice cream) and imagine your excitement picking it from the land. That is how exciting this was for me!

A Little Camera Shy!

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

kala1

There is this adorable and very well behaved lab in Rolesville, North Carolina named Kala.  She is very needy of everyone’s attention and loves when you just simply look at her.  She is, no doubt, the princess of the house.  She did prove to be a little camera shy.  She thought it was a game and kept running in the opposite direction.
