Katie and Jeff are getting married! On one of my many trips to the DC area this summer I stopped in to get some engagement photos of them.  They have such a cute little girl, Ava, she is so beautiful and knows it!  We took the photos at Katie’s parents house so we got some with the whole family.  At the very end of the session I asked Katie and Jeff to do some fun jumping shots.  One of my favorite photographers, Philippe Halsman, in the ’50s photographed famous people and at the end of the shoot he would ask them to JUMP! He came up with some awesome shots, like this one of Nixon (do you see that sweet chandelier reflection in the bureau?).  Jumping shots are so fun and get everyone laughing, especially when Jeff suggested jumping OVER Katie! Thanks Katie and Jeff…can’t wait for your wedding!!
