So there is a new trend in weddings now…and I LOVE it! Who is to say it is bad luck to see each other before the wedding? A lot of couples are going against tradition and seeing each other before the ceremony. Now, it’s not like they just bump into each other in the hall, but the couple sets aside a specific time to see each other before the ceremony. From a photographers perspective I LOVE this! It gives more time for photos and less time in between the ceremony and reception so you can get to your party! I think it also alleviates the pressure and stress of not seeing each other the entire day. From what I’ve seen, it also gives more time for photography and therefore equals better photos! I shot a wedding in Raleigh January 2 and that’s what they did! It was so special the way the organized it!
The first few are from their pre-ceremony rendezvous and then the rest are some other fun ones…thanks LaBranda and Jason for a great day!

So if you’re a little squeamish about this and want an alternative I would suggest planning out specific time in between the ceremony and reception for you and your new spouse to take some photos around the town or venue.
